Dr. Samantha Manthay, PT, DPT

Hi there, my name is Samantha Manthey and I am a Physical Therapist working in the Ramsey clinic. I attended The College of St. Scholastica for both my undergraduate and graduate degree, obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. When treating, I believe in utilizing the biopsychosocial model in order to treat each individual as a whole. I enjoy finding specific movement dysfunctions that are limiting the patient’s function and treating accordingly. Not only do I focus on reducing pain, but also focus on returning patient’s to their optimal function and quality of life while reducing risk of re-injury. I love to work with all patients but have a special interest in orthopedic conditions, geriatric population, and neurologic impairments. You could say that I grew to love Duluth and the North Shore after being in that area for 7 years of schooling. That being said, in my free time I enjoy staying active with running, lifting, and hiking with my husband and our pup. I was very involved in playing basketball and volleyball growing up, now I remain active in the sports I love by coaching.
